The Popfest is an indiepop festival which takes place all around the world, from New York to Rome, organised by small independent sleeper cells. Always completely self-funded, avoiding all sponsors, though open to punctual collaborations with kindred collectives, Popfests all over the world plot to gather all kinds of bands, from legends from Sarah or K Records to newcomers from Cloudberry, Wee Pop and Slumberland.

A participative, selfless effort from the members of the 'People Like Us' indiepop forum will make the first edition of the Madrid Popfest possible. The event will take place on March 11th-12th, 2011, with Sala Clamores as headquarters but spanning many other Madrid venues.

If it has been possible in London, Rome, Berlin, NYC, why not Madrid?
